Rajoradio
1pm - 4pm
RajoRadio is the first Somali DAB radio station in Birmingham. Our station broadcasts issues affecting the Somali community in Birmingham and the UK. Our mission is to inspire, entertain, educate and uplift the Somali community.
The station was officially granted its DAB broadcast licence by Ofcom last year, but covid-19 and repeated lockdowns had slowed progress to the official launch. Until now…
Rajoradio was founded by Fathi Mohammed and was launched in November 2021 as “DAB” digital audio broadcasting, featuring a small team of presenters and a schedule of live programming.
Based in Small heath in Birmingham, the team now has more than 10 members. One of its original line-ups, and resident graphic designers: “Rajoradio is a great asset to the community and a positive representation of what can be achieved when we work together.
“It's amazing to think what we have achieved in a relatively short time, but be sure there is definitely much more to come.”
“Despite battling what was an incredibly tough year for all in 2021, Rajoradio will ensure the community will be kept educated, informed and entertained throughout, with our dedicated team.
